Open the Budget PlannerWho we are
Free tools, a private community, and paid one-to-one help when you want a person on the other end. We're UK-wide, not tied to any lender, and we won't sell your details.
Why we exist
It's sleepless nights, a knot in your stomach every time a letter lands, and the sense that nobody's giving you a straight answer. If you're in the UK and feeling overwhelmed by debt, you're not on your own.
The Real Debt Guy exists to make money and debt less daunting. We write in plain English, we don't push products, and we don't judge anyone for how they got here. Council tax arrears, credit-card debt, a payment plan that's fallen apart, a letter you don't understand: we've helped people through it, and there's a good chance we can help you too.
Debt affects sleep, relationships, and the small daily choices that add up. Every tool we build and every letter we draft is written with that in mind.
What we stand for
Honest information about UK debt, in plain English, without spin. If we don't know, we say so.
No jargon, no hidden meanings, no small print buried at the bottom of the page.
Debt affects sleep, relationships, and self-worth. We write like we know that, because we do.
Your case is yours. We don't push template solutions or one-size-fits-all products.

We want to be open about this. The Budget Planner, the articles, and the guides on this site are free because paid work covers the running of everything else. Here's exactly what people pay us for:
£15 a month for members who want a private space and plain English updates.
£27.50 for a focused 10-minute Zoom audio call. Ask what's on your mind and leave with a clear next step.
£125 for 30 minutes or £249 for 60 minutes. A proper sit-down when there's more ground to cover, ending with a plan you can act on.
£99. We read every creditor letter you have, tell you what's real, what's optional, and what needs a reply.
Quoted case by case. We draft everything for you across an agreed term. You approve every letter that goes out.
Ongoing cover once Full Support ends, so nothing quietly slips.
We're not paid by lenders. We don't run affiliate deals with debt-purchase firms. We don't sell your data. If we ever mention a third party, it's because we think it's genuinely useful, not because there's money in it for us.
