Are you FCA regulated?
No. The Real Debt Guy is not FCA regulated and does not give financial advice. Information and support only.
Can I use TRDG wherever I live in the UK?
Yes. Support is available across the UK by post and email, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00. No phone lines, so everything's in writing and you have a record.
Why do you charge for some things when free debt help exists?
Free debt help is a good starting point. But charities are stretched, wait times can be long, and their remit is narrow. If you want faster, more personal support, or you don't fit their scope, that's what TRDG is for. The Budget Planner will always be free.
Are you tied to any creditors or lenders?
No. TRDG takes no money from creditors, debt collectors, or lenders. Income comes only from the community, Clarity Calls, Private Calls, Letter Audits, and Full Support. That's how independence is kept.
What if I'm not sure which option is right for me?
Start with the Budget Planner. It's free and it'll give you a clearer picture of where you stand. Once you've got the numbers, most people find it easier to see which option fits.
