Official Receiver

This is a person who works on behalf of the court (an officer of the court) in matters such as bankruptcy or other types of insolvency. One of the key roles of an Official Receiver is to secure and take control of any assets.

Order for Sale

Let’s keep it nice and simple. An Order for Sale is a court order that means you are forced to sell your property.

Original Creditor

This is the company that provided you the credit facility (i.e. the company you signed the agreement with).

For example, with a Barclaycard Credit Card the Original Creditor would be Barclaycard.

With a HSBC personal loan, the Original Creditor would be HSBC.
